A state-of-the-art pipeline has been established to support single-plex, fluorescent homogeneous assays, working from 96 well or 384 well samples plates. Modular automation supports a highly controlled process in which reagents, plates and samples are tracked at each stage to ensure the data generated is not only of the highest quality but is guaranteed to correlate with the submitted DNA sample.
Assays may be developed for ABI’s Taqman range or for Tepnel’s proprietary chemistry if required. Assays are typically validated against standard control panels of DNA or may be validated against customer-defined panels.
Integrated robotic work cells, incorporating high spec nano-dispeners, are used to create and dispense genotyping master mixes. This high capacity pipeline utilises a massively parallel amplification facility to perform up to 100,000 genotypes per day. The whole process is monitored by a comprehensive LIMS system such that an audit trail is generated for each sample and reagent throughout the process.
