Elucigene™ CF4 is specifically designed for use cystic fibrosis newborn screening programs.  It is developed to meet the requirements of the newborn screening program recently introduced into England and Wales.  Elucigene CF4 is a fluorescent ARMS assay that detects the four most common CFTR mutations in the UK population.

A full genotyping assay in a single tube for rapid and simple detection of the four most frequent CFTR mutations in a UK Caucasian population.  CF4 is optimised for use with DNA extracted from dried bloodstains.  Mutations detected by this assay are dF508, G551D, G542X and 621+1G>T.
