Regional Sales Manager - Biotech
Home Office based: USA, Upper Mid-West preferred
We are a Bio Tech company based in Southern Fairfield County, Connecticut, specializing in providing diagnostic products and services in the field of transplant immunology and genetic disease predisposition testing.
The Regional Sales Managerwill be responsible for the generation of sales to meet sales targets and development and maintenance of customer relationships. .
The position will be home office based in either the mid- west or upper mid-west (preferred).
Responsibilities will include:
- Understanding user product needs. Use experience, networking, and research techniques to stay abreast of changing needs, new technologies, and new products.
- Providing ongoing training/technical support and product selection assistance to end users, purchasing agents and in house customer service staff including live product demonstrations as necessary.
- Achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Customer account development and retention, demand generation, prospecting for new customers, qualifying leads, closing and supporting product sales through onsite visits and telephone communication.
- Build upon and maintain customer account activity details in ACT database.
- Maintaining product sales tracking reports, including market share data, and competitor information where available.
- Development of end user specific customer quotations and maintenance of Quotation logs (including status, i.e. closed, expired, open, etc)
- Working closely with other sales team members to maintain competitive marketing and pricing strategies through special offers, packaging and customer quotations.
- Participating in trade shows, seminars and workshops perhaps even conducting technical seminars in the field.
- Capturing and tracking customer inquires related to (key) products to be added to offering. Communicate info to Sales Management.
Requirements: BA/BS in life sciences; At least 5 years Molecular Diagnostics or HLA Laboratory experience. 1 or more years of sales experience – a plus.
Requires 50% travel.
